marseille

A group of us went to Marseille yesterday since there wasn't a whole lot going on here, and none of us had really seen the city (except when we drove through it from the airport), and it is France's second largest, so we figured why not.

It turned out to be a lot of fun, and while we did a good deal of walking, we made it up to the top of this old fort and were able to chill out for a while and we had an amazing view of the Old Port and most of the city.

There were sooo many people out and about (it was a Saturday). We ran in a few stores, including H&M, but they were ridiculously crowded, so we did not stick around for too long.

Well, not much to say beyond that, other than at times the city felt dirtier than San Francisco with all the trash lying in the streets which is unfortunate.
